Blog #8: End of Writing 1!

1)
     After I received Writing classes, my writing skill have strenghthen a lot. In the high school days, we learned to write short sentences. As a result, we did not write enough long them. So, this writng class is precious in wrting.

     I picked up three practices concretely. First, I learned how to write sentences. How to write paragragh was understood very much. After hearing Rooks' Powerpoint, I feel my words and sentences are composed clearly. My final wtiting assignment will become better than before one. Also, I can find topic sentences, main ideas, supporting sentences and concluding sentences. Second, creating blogger were nice practices to appeal what I absorbed in. I was looking forward to seeing friends' blogs. Everyone write better and better, and I could know what they are. Third, I think Timed Writing in 10 minute is effective for some reasons. Writing whatever I recall is nice. I found my new aspects and was surprised at firstly. Ten minutes will made us continue to write with tense secondly.

     For these reasons, Writing class is vital to our writng skill, I think. Next semester my writing skill will improved higher.

2)
     In next semester, I am going to imrove my English skill in listening, reading and speaking. Before I study till next semester, I plan to learn in Spring vacation. In Listening, I think that touching English and listening is every day is important. For example, I will enter Davos council's cite and listen what the world's readers said in English. This will be effective in English and studying economics and their thinking. In reading, I will buy "The Wall Street Journal". This newspaper provided at Rokkou and I tried to read. In speaking, my vocabulary is poor, so I resarch word and expect when I will choose.

Blog #7: Spring Vacation

In my spring vacation, I plan to go skiing and do part-time-job. I could not do both of them in the last year.

 

 

     In trip of skiing, I will go Shinsyuu with friends in March. In spite of the middle season of March, it will be very cold there. I went to Shinsyuu to play skiing when I was second grade of high school. Since I had gone skiing once in that time, so I enter an introduction course. Our ski travel was made by our scool and there are many scoohlmates. However, our course instructor caused us to be able to ski whenever the angle was low only two days! I also remind we had no appetite after each lesson, but hottle providede us a lot of dishes. Therefore, I am a little nervous this time.

     In part-time-job, I can not decide even what to do. Most of acquaintances do it and talk about it.
Some of them earn more than 80,000 yen per month. They paid their the cost of living. I am amazed their power every time I heard their words. Many friends earn money for cram scool teachers though they often complain about their shifts. I do not know what to do, so I try to do some kinds of them in Febuary and March.

     A long spring vacation will come soon. For this reason, I can keep my motivation and tackle with problems.

Blog # 6: FREE TOPIC!

     According to choose what topics I write, I will write about Monopoly. I explain this game a little. The rule is simple. Before game, you have 1500$ and after game you increase more than 1500$ among players or make other players bankrupt. Proceedings are like Sugoroku, and players use two dices. You buy lands and monopolize colors. Like, bellow yellow one. When other player come your lands, they have to pay costs. The costs are becoming higher and higher as passing time.



     Monopoly is a good game in many points. First, This game was designed by American to think economics and management. For this reason, I think how to win from many sights. For example, I usually check players own lands and money. The purpose of this game is to make other players bankrupt, so these two points are very important. I heard students in Nada tend to like this game. Second, negotiation is the key to win. Whenever you negotiate other player, to trade lands, cards or moneys. Because of this tool, the game is enthusiastic!
    You never understand interests of game, if you do not play. So you are interested in MONOPOLY, please teach me and let's play!!

Blog # 5: If I could have dinner with one person...

If I could have dinner with anyone in the history of mankind, I would choose a man  called Dvořák.

    
     Probably, you do not him. What do you guess in this portrait? From his beard, a black line between his eye brows and sharp eyes, you could he was an artist or a polititian. If you detect what time he lived, you might think this mono-tone color. Yes, he was the famous composer, who makes songs. And he lived September 8, 1841 – May 1, 1904.

     Why I choose him among a lot of people is that I want to know his sensitivity and consideration.
He made many classical musics, which caused me shocked. He was born in Czeck, which is European country and also have been known the country full of music.

     I introduce two famous works, Symphony No.9, "From the New World" and Humoresques. When you hear these melodies, you will think that you once heard them.

The first one is the same of the name "From the new world" and the second one is very natural one. Whenever I hear Humoresque, somehow I recall my childhood.

    Although he was from Czeck, he could speak English. For his transfer to America, he must spoke it. So, I would not have difficulty talking with him during dinner. I may choose the restaurant in Prague, the capital in Czeck.

 

Blog#4 My Winter Vacation

I went to Arashiyama in this winter vacation. In winter, Kyoto is easy to go sightseeing because visitors avoid this season. Arashiyama  is located in north Kyoto. There are two transportations to reach there. One is from Kyoto Station to Saga Arashiyama Station by JR. Another is to Arashiyama Station by Hankyu. I chose the first one though the latter is cheaper than the first one.

First, I visited Tenryuuji temple. Its place is famous for Nihon Teien and fallen leaves. I saw its beautiful yard and scenery. Like this picture.

Through this picture's white road you can reach the bamboo road. Do you know "the bamboo road"?

 

The right picture is the one. You may watch this scene before. This place were taken even movies. I walked this road with shock and sacred feeling because of sight and soundless. Tenryuuji Temple and the bamboo load were fun entirely.

Second I visited Shigureden, which is a musium of Hyakuninnissyu. I was surprised its existence and very interested in it. Of course, I ran into there and enjoy its own world. In my high school, students played a game with it. Therefore, I know how to play and some Utas. My favorite one is "Shiratuyuni Kazenofukisiku Akinonoha Turanukitomezu Tamazotirikeru". That means falling drops of water on leaves  seems pearls. I like its rythmical sound. Amazingly, I could wore the clothes in Heian Era, called "Kariginu". This presious experience was unforgettable. If you go Arashiyama sometime, I recommend this place.

 

 

Third, I arrived the famous bridge called "Togetukyou". Last year, the large rain fell Arashiyama and caused a terrible damage the bridge. I had heard that it had been recovered but felt nervous until I saw it. Neverthless my susption, it was there like the old one. It was on the Katura river like green and looks powerful.

 

 

 

When I walk along the street, I ate sweets a little. Local sweet named "Yuba soft creem". The differnce between a normal one and Yuba one is almost taste. The latter's unique taste is wondwrful. I can not explain well, but taste was like Tounyuu.

 

Kyoto is suited for a travel, you know, so I want to find a lot of good places!
